GAS IS ESSENTIAL TO A RELIABLE TRANSITION
There is no credible transition pathway without gas
Without investment in gas, the transition becomes less reliable — and
more expensive
Firming renewables requires dispatchable generation
Coal exits cannot be replaced by renewables alone
Storage is growing, but not yet sufficient at scale or duration
Gas provides flexible, fast-start, proven firming capacity to
support renewables
THE TRANSITION IS CENTERED ON
